Women - an odd category for tech bloggers

HP did this thing -- HP Magic Giveaway -- where they let 50 bloggers give away 50 computers.

I was amused by HP's categorization of bloggers: college, Spanish, tech enthusiasts and women.

Women?!

Is that a category of bloggers?

I checked out a couple of the women bloggers, and I found some nice recipes, pictures of children, and musings on Michelle Obama.

Where are the categories for Jewish bloggers (technology for the Sabbath), Minnesota bloggers (hibernating with technology), and old farts (we don't need no stinkin' technology)?
