The AP is reporting that Sony will close a 2.8 million-square-foot facility in western Pennsylvania that employs about 650:
[Pennsylvania Governor] Ed Rendell said Tuesday the Westmoreland County plant is a casualty of the worldwide recession and innovations in making flat-panel televisions lighter. How can we let that happen? TV manufacturing is a vital part of our American heritage! Congress should bail out Sony now!
