Mid-century modern home goes back in time with cork floors

Our mid-century modern home originally had cork flooring when it was built in 1950. At some point it was covered with carpet, and ultimately we pulled both layers up and refinished the underlying cement floors.

The cement company did a lousy job and we got sick of the floors so decided to go back to the original.

Today is the first day of the install.

Cement floor fiasco -- looked cool for a little while, but not for long.

Mark and Jeff starting the install. Jeff does floors, doors, carpentry, anything with wood. Let me know if you're in the Twin Cities area and need his info.
