DTV Transition tech support: Remember to remove plastic from batteries

There's something a little strange about creating an installation video for a process that "couldn't be easier."

But that's just what Zenith has done to help people install a DTV converter box.

Then again, not all consumers are as tech savvy as, say, my mother.

From the press release announcing the video:

Based on consumer calls to the Zenith customer service hotline, the video reminds consumers to remove the plastic wrapper before installing batteries.

Scary.

For the technophobes out there, I would advise against watching the video. It looks a little like the video spoof of the old lady trying to figure out how to install at converter box.
