Wall Street Journal reports that Dell will not launch its new MP3 player for this holiday season. The product was to be based on new entertainment software called Zing, which has a heavy online component.
The WSJ also says that Dell will hold off on the music player indefinitely but plans to move forward with the Zing software for PCs.
Dell withdrew from the music-player market in 2003 after its DJ Ditty player flopped.
